I just came in for my first consultation and x-ray today, but I immediately felt so comfortable and welcome. I spent very little time in the waiting room, soon after was meeting with Dr. Pike (who was wonderful and so comforting!), and I just loved how I felt like I found the perfect place to seek the help I need for significant dental reconstruction. Looking forward to more visits!

I have been a patient of Drs. Pike and Valega since they opened their practice in Poolesville, Maryland in the late 1980s. They are both professional and friendly. They take the time to explain any issues they see that may need to be addressed. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist, and I know that you won’t be disappointed.

Cleanings at this dentist are the most gentle I've ever had. I love the peaceful views and watching the birds eat from the feeders out of the windows while I'm having work done. They always have cute seasonal decorations, and a nice family atmosphere. I'm not much for small talk, but have always enjoyed the conversations during my procedures. Best dentist I've ever used.

I can't express enough that when I say Pike & Valega are awesome, I mean they are awesome. I went there and explained exactly what I needed from them and they did exactly that 100%. They did not try to talk me out of anything or into anything. It wasn't about the money, they never tried to pressure me into getting ANYTHING additional from what I asked of them. Terri also played a big roll by contacting my insurance company to figure out how to use my insurance in the most effective way so that I could max out my benefits so that I would not have to pay as much out of pocket. Pike & Valega will always have me as a patient. I'm very impressed with their practice and family feeling. Thank you Pike & Valega for all that you do!

Cannot recommend this place highly enough! My whole life I hated going to the dentist. This place changed that dynamic forever. Dr. Pike is warm, caring, and talks to me like a friend. My favorite hygenist Ellen is exactly the same way. I genuinely look forward to seeing her every 6 months. These two clinicians take excellent care of my teeth without every being jugdgemental. Recommend this practice whole-heartedly!

I'm 65 yrs old and I've never enjoyed the dentist until I found Dr Timothy Pike. He makes the most serious work seem like it's no big deal. Everything he does he makes enjoyable and comfortable that it's actually a fun and relaxing time. Always confident and stress-free to any situation. From the difficult to the easiest is always a good time. Never uncomfortable or any pain while visiting his office. I believe Dr Pike is the greatest Dentist and Surgeon around !!! Plus he is the best implant specialist around. If your looking for the best dentist forget the rest and make an appointment as soon as u can. Can't forget his wife Dr Valega. She is also the best dentist around !!! I travel an hour and a half one way. Trust me it is worth every second of my time. Love these people and love the service they provide ❤️ The hygienist and receptionists are the greast people to meet. I've never been disappointed going there. I actually love my time spent with them all !!!

The BEST! Having a lifetime of dental fear and a mess of a mouth, I was beyond embarrassed but everyone made me feel “normal” and I LOVE the amazing care I have gotten! From the Doctors to the front desk, I have received the kindest and most amazing care. I am so very grateful I found you and hope to have a long and healthy relationship with you. I’ve been going to Pike & Valega for almost 10 years now. I never had any issues. This is a family business who value each customer. I’ve had the hygienist, Kate, doing my cleaning since I started. I am comfortable referring this dentist to my friends and family. Dr. Pike is very professional and friendly — I always look forward to having a conversation with him.

I am so thankful I found this dental group. Dr. Valega, is kind, considerate, and explains your needs with knowledgeable information. My visit to their Poolesville office today was very comfortable. I had my cleaning & check. The dental Hygienist is lovely; answers questions, gentle skills & overall nice person.

Everyone at his office is and treats you like family. Dr Pike and his wife are the Greatest dentist I've ever seen. Professional in every way and they make coming to the dentist actually fun. This is a wonderful dentist office with truly kind, caring, professional people and who take care of you! It’s fabulous from the front desk to the dentists. Every step of the way, the staff works hard to ensure quality dental care. It’s easy to get a man appointment, the hygenists are expert at their care, and Dr. Pike and Valega are kind, thoughtful and extremely skilled doctors!

I went to Pike & Valega for a second opinion on some dental work that I was told I needed! I found that they were so caring and help me feel that they had my back in what I truly needed and what was an affordable solution for me. I saw Dr. Valega and she communicated with me as a friend making me at ease! I walked into their office thinking I was needing a total mouth restoration from my New Dentist that took over my old Dentist business! I’m so greatful for her honesty and advice she gave me! I am an anxious dental patient and super critical of other healthcare providers. I called last week as a new patient AND with an emergency. The staff was so friendly and got me scheduled in their Poolesville location for that afternoon. They were amazing, Dr. Valega explained everything so clearly and I’m actually looking forward to going back in a few weeks to take care of a cavity. As a healthcare provider, I’m really picky about my own healthcare providers and I cannot say enough wonderful things about them! Thank you Dr. Valega and your team!!

Dr. Pike is the GREATEST!!! He saved my tooth!!! He saw me right away, he was so kind and calming. I’m not the greatest patient, I was so scared. My tooth broke and I was definitely in pain. Today I had another personable, thorough, and informative dental cleaning and exam at Drs. Pike and Valega's office in Poolesville. The dental hygienist, Shannon, answered my questions regarding gum recession in a friendly and respectful manner. Her extensive knowledge on the topic addressed my list of questions as well as provided practical options for how to prevent further gum recession. Drs. Pike and Valega and their staff have provided excellent dental care and friendly service to my family for the past several years.

I have experienced exceptional service both from Dr. Valega/Pike, Terri RDH and their staff.. their clinic have a nice cozy feel with impressive dental equipments.. Excellent health screening/safety precautions implemented. I’m so glad I found this place. Would recommend them to anyone who needs a dental check!

Pike and Valega offices are run by a friendly, efficient, and thoughtful staff. The office is clean and all safety precautions are strictly followed, yet they maintain a friendly manner. Their appointments are punctual (don't be late) and they get to work right away. Lastly, I would add that they provide the care you need, make strong suggestions, but ultimately leave the decision up to you when it comes to making repairs. Just an all around great family dental practice.

Dr Pike is a skilled dentist. I have tooth pain and food stuffing of a tooth for long time. In order to solve those problems, I've visited eight dentists in past 20 years. However, the problems had been only partially solved. From Nov. 2020, I start to visit Dr Pike. After several treatments, The pain has gone. Food stuffing improved 90%. I fell happy and will let him be my primary dentist.

I've been a patient of Drs Pike and Valega for 26 years, and since I moved out of Poolesville, I appreciate the convenience of the Rockville location. The hygenists are thorough but gentle. Drs Pike and Valega are proactive but still conservative in their approach to dentistry, and always friendly. Their COVID-19 procedures made a dental visit about as safe as it can be during these times.

I have been going to Pike & Valega, DDS for a few years now. I even travel over an hour to for each appointment. The entire staff is very kind and patient. They don’t hurry me along. They take their time to do things right. Also, my experiences with them have been pain free. They know what they are doing. If you are looking for a dentist, I would make them your first choice.

Let me just say it this way... Dr.'s Pike & Valega are just never allowed to retire! Their quality of service, compassion & caring for their patients is simply unmatched today! Dr. Pike and Dr. Valega are well worth the 1 hr + drive I make to see them. The office is the most therapeutic place you can imagine- the staff is lovely and efficient. The medical technology found in the office is top notch and above all they are super trustworthy and gentle. I moved out of state and still kept my dentist because I can’t imagine finding anyone better. Highly recommend!

Drs. Pike and Valega (husband and wife) make going to the dentist a true pleasure. Thanks to their personable and professional approach, these dentists and their support team members take great care to deliver top-notch outcomes. I've had a variety of procedures ranging from simple cleanings to more serious and complicated procedures and every time I've walked away with a sense that I'm grateful for their care. For me, the office in Rockville is more convenient. The office in Poolesville is quite spacious. Both offer free parking.

Great dentists and great hygienists and even great office staff. My son didnt like going to the dentist before but since switching to Dr. PIke and Dr. Vallega he doesn't mind it all and is not fearful anymore. In addition the quality of work is second to none. I am very impressed and very pleased with the practice.

Visited Drs Pike and Valega's office in Poolesville for the first time; excellent service. They fit me in that week, there was no waiting when I arrived. I've been a patient of Drs. Pike and Valega for nearly 20 years. Patient care is consistently top notch. They and their staff persuaded me to floss regularly, a change of habit that substantially improved my oral health. I tried another practice closer to home a few years ago, but I returned to Pike & Valega because I prefer their personable style of care.

Every one was attentive to the needs of my two kids (8 and 5) at their appointment. They even answered all of my son's many MANY questions LOL. There aren't loud colors or movies playing on the screen, like other kids' dental offices, but my kids didn't mind. They each got a balloon and a toy from the treasure chest, so it was pretty awesome in their eyes! They are an awesome part of the Poolesville community!

More personal care, more availability of appointment times that match my schedule, more expert diagonosis, more results that excede expectations! Less pain (You could call this preactice "pain-free dentistry) less cost, less of my time in the waiting room (don't believe I've spent more than 15 minutes there, total, over 20+ years as a patient!). Drs. Valega and Pike (as well as the rest of their team) are amazing! My husband, young daughter and I have been going to them for the past two years. Their care is gentle and efficient and their team is so patient with my two young children who often tag along. They also don't rush to treat or push any services or products on you, like other places I've been.

Pike and Velega are a husband and wife team that use their ample knowledge, intuition, and state of the art equipment, like private detectives, to solve a mystery. My wife found them first and recommended them to me. When I visited them for the first time, some of my teeth presented painful mysteries. One aching tooth required use of a three dimensional xRay to help solve the problem. Another tooth showed a light shadow that disturbed them.They sent me to an endodontist, who specializes in diseases of the dental pulp and nerves. He found and fixed the problem. Pike and Valega will do anything it takes to solve such problems, with warmth, and a great sense of humor. They really care about their patients. Pike and Valega's offices the places to visit when you need dental help! Their staff is terrific, too! Their practice is the best one that I ever visited in the very many decades that I needed dental help.

The dental assistants are personable, well trained and actively participate in continuing education. The facilities are always clean and the equipment is up-to-date. I am confident recommending Dr’s. I was referred to Drs Pike and Valega over a decade ago when I moved to this area. I can't say enough positive things about my experiences with their practice. Everyone is extremely friendly yet professional, they are always on time (I have never had to sit waiting to be seen), and I have never felt rushed or pressured. What I enjoy the most is that they remember things about you that you've talked about on prior visits (vacations, pets, hobbies, etc). They have done a great job of making me feel comfortable and valued in an authentic way.

By far the best dental office I've ever been to! All of the folks there make you feel comfortable and are incredibly efficient and easy to work with. They make you feel like you're part of their family the minute you walk in. Terri is a sweetheart and actually makes cleanings enjoyable! I highly recommend this place!

I have always been uncomfortable in the dentist chair. A couple years ago I walked into this office, sight unseen, due to an emergency in which old fillings in a tooth had crumbled and was very painful. I went to this office because of the location. What I found was that the doctors and entire staff treated me with great care in every respect, and continue to do so for me as well as my children. For starters, the entire staff communicates with members of my family instead of just running an assembly line. They explain to me what they think is needed or not needed and answer all of my many questions. Beyond the "in-chair" treatment which is the best around, the doctors and their staff clearly are on a mission to be the best in their field. They are ALL, always happy to help, whether it be scheduling, billing, or even getting a referral or data for tax time. A few months ago, my children had to attend their appointments without me being present and the office called to ensure I was okay with all aspects of their care. In addition, a few days later I got a hand-written card in the mail about the behavior and oral care of my kids, just to share with me that the kids behaved so well and were on track with their teeth. As if this were not enough, every member of this office seems to distinguish themselves as members of the small, hometown communities they serve. During my initial visit for the emergency, upon learning about my lack of familiarity with some aspects of the community, the doctor took several minutes to inform me about different things in this community. She then offered to provide further information if I needed it in the future. I see the doctors and staff while out in this community and they are not only the best dentists, but also great neighbors. They are actively involved in supporting this community and have events in which they invite the public. You owe it to yourself and your family to see this practice. You owe it to your moth to get your dental care here.

I have been Dr. Pike's and Dr. Valega’s patient for four years now. Together with my kids, who are high school or college students. As Poolesville residents, we take an advantage of having a great dental office in town. Collectively we had a variety of work done ranging from cleaning and routine fillings to crown work and tooth extraction/bone grafting. Here are a few things that come to mind to describe our experiences: getting precise and gentle treatment and the successful end result, a friendly and family like atmosphere cultivated by the doctors and their staff, minimal waiting time (often no time at all) and the flexibility in making appointments that accommodate our busy work and school schedules, a quick response when we requested help unexpectedly. The hygienists and the doctors’ assistants are absolutely amazing! Last thing to mention is that Dr. Pike and Dr. Valega work with top notch specialists in oral surgery, root canal treatment, and orthodontics, which guaranteed the best results for us when specialists’ help was needed.

I needed a lot of dental work when I saw an ad for teeth in a day. I was curious so I called for a consultation. I live in Waynesboro Pa. so I really did not like my Dentist so far away but once I experience them I loved the ride cause it gives me time to relax and enjoy the peaceful drive. At the time I had 4 teeth removed by another surgeon. I wanted to replace them with implants but every dentist and dental surgeon told me my gums were to narrow and not enough bone and it could not be done.So I was discouraged !! Dr. Pike was the only Dentist that gave me hope. He laughed at what everyone told me and assured me he could perform the surgery and it would be a piece of cake and easy. Well the price was costly but having your teeth and having healthy gums and regular check -ups was the answer to all my problems. It was and is worth the price. The great thing about Dr. Pike is all work is performed in his office because he is the only Specialist you will ever need. The whole staff from the front office to the hygienist to his wife which is the second dentist to the top Dr. Pike is excellent and they all make the visit fun and painless. I've had work done by his wife Dr. Valega and she is Awesome as well !!! Anyone that fears a Dentist must experience the best, and that is here. I just had a root canal done and of course everyone you talk to fears and hates the thought of getting one done. Honestly it was so enjoyable and I loved it and could not believe it was so easy and painless. I've had everything done possible and everything was relaxing and enjoyable thanks to the talent and experience Dr. Pike has.That old saying stands true YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR !!! This office and the staff are THE BEST !!!

I discovered Dr. Valega when I needed a second opinion about dental work. She dismissed two cavity filling recommendations and agreed that I needed a broken crown replacement. She did an excellent job on that, which I consider was the best crown work which I have ever had done. She is an excellent, caring dentist who delights in patient education. I have been pleased with the dental hygienist care, too, which includes anticavity topical application after each cleaning. No other dental office has ever offered that to me. I suspect that it really is helping me with cavity prevention. I have been treated once by Dr. Pike and was very pleased with his treatment as well. I am very happy with my dental care. Definitely a thumbs up, as my 92 year-old WII naval aviator Dad would do.

Great experience. I got started with my appointment and realized insurance didn't cover this dentist, but they were still very kind and gave me great tips that I could use in the meantime to handle my pain until I worked out the insurance information. Very friendly staff, helpful and seem to genuinely care about their patients!

Pike and Valega are the best dentists I've ever had. They're extremely professional, with offices in two locations. I'd had some not so great dentists in the past. They demonstrated what a difference someone using the latest technology and techniques can really make. Added bonuses: Free parking in both Rockville and Poolesville and their office staffers are very welcoming.
